Where are classes held?

Classes meet regularly at 2326 Del Prado Blvd S., Cape Coral, FL.  Occasionally, certain workshops may take place at a different location.

How early can I arrive for class?

We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Parents may wait in the designated waiting area or return for pickup 75–80 minutes after class begins. *Please note that a penalty fee may apply if a child is not picked up within 15 minutes after the end of class or before the next class has started.

Are online classes available?

Yes! We welcome online students. This is especially convenient for:  
Snowbirds who want to begin lessons before arriving in Cape Coral or finish a course after returning north.  
Students facing emergencies or temporary scheduling conflicts. 
Learners located far away who cannot attend in person.

How many students are in each class?

Core classes: 6–8 students for maximum interaction and efficiency.

Reinforcement workshops: up to 20 participants.

How are the courses designed?

Our programs are built to help you meet your goals in 60–120 hours.

Reinforcement & extended workshops: Offered on Fridays and Saturdays.  You can choose a frequency that fits your schedule—once, twice, or three times per week.

Our VIP students complete 30 to 45 hours per quarter.

Can I join a class after the program has already started?

Yes—during the first 2–3 weeks. After that, if the group is already established, new students may only join if they can demonstrate knowledge of the material covered so far.

Don’t worry—there’s always a waitlist open, and we launch new groups every 1–2 months.

What do classes cost?

Class prices range from $85 per individual hour at our location to less than $25 per hour with packages.

Group Classes (up to 8 students per classroom / up to 20 in workshops):  
2x/week – $249 monthly  
1x/week – $125 monthly  
2x/week – $597 quarterly (covers all 3 months)  
1x/week – $299 quarterly (covers all 3 months)

Workshops – $35 per session. Private groups: Call or email us to design a custom package.

Do I save money with the 3-Month Learning Plan?

Yes! The 3-Month Learning Plan is our best-value option.

For twice-a-week classes, you save $150 every term
For once-a-week classes, you save $76 every term

How are payments billed?

Private groups/individual lessons: Pay upfront per agreed package.  
Regular students: Choose monthly or quarterly automated payments, which can be cancelled up to 2 weeks before the next billing cycle.

What if I miss a class or need to cancel?

Refund & Make-Up Policy

Tuition is non-refundable.

Email us 24+ hours in advance (email lia@languagesinaction.us) to be eligible for a make-up.

Make-up options (as available):
Join another class at the same level
Book a short individual make-up
Receive class materials/assignments or a recording (when offered)

Missed class without notice: no make-up or refund.

Our goal is to keep learning flexible while sustaining our community programs.

Question 12

How long before I can expect to speak or understand my target language?

Progress varies from student to student and depends on factors such as:  
Previous language knowledge  
Similarities between your native language and your target language  
Frequency and consistency of practice

As a general guide:

An adult monolingual learner of a language that uses the same alphabet as English may reach basic user level within 6 months, and an independent user level within 12–14 months.

For children, we aim for an independent user level by around age 14, often preparing them to take the AP exam for college credit.

Question 13

Are materials included, or do students need to purchase books?

English students: Buy the student book recommended by the instructor; workbook and online activities are optional.  
Spanish students: Receive our in-house materials (included) while we finalize our full collection.  
AP students: Purchase the recommended prep book; additional materials are included.  
Other languages: Materials determined by each instructor.
